Call of Duty: Warzone is gearing up for a significant transformation as it integrates with 2023’s Modern Warfare 3, however, veteran fans are wondering if fan-favorite maps Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep will be returning to the game.
With integration with Modern Warfare 3 scheduled for December 6, 2023, the next big chapter of Warzone is on the way, including a ton of changes to the game compared to its current version.
However, many fans of the game are still wondering if the fan-favorite Resurgence maps, Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep will return to the free-to-play title.
So, here’s all we know about Fortune’s Keep and Rebirth Island’s return to Warzone.
When are Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep returning to Warzone?
Activision have confirmed both Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep maps are set to return to Warzone in 2024, the first one slated for early 2024 and the former for later 2024.
Additionally, Raven Software confirmed that the original teams, High Moon Studios and Beenox, are spearheading the development for the comeback of both maps.
After the announcement, the overwhelmingly positive reception of Warzone’s most frenetic mode’s beloved maps could have the potential to strengthen player engagement and restore interest in the free-to-play title.
Following the closure of Warzone Caldera on September 21, 2023, Resurgence fans have sole access to the Vondel and Ashika Island experiences. These two maps have undergone distinct updates and changes to keep them fresh.
