Warzone Season 1 is live, but the devs have even more content planned for Urzikstan in the mid-season update. Here’s everything we know about Warzone Season 1 Reloaded, including when it’s expected to go live.
The Warzone Season 1 update brought a major overhaul to the CoD battle royale. Not only did it introduce the new Urzikstan map, it also added every weapon from Modern Warfare 3 as part of the integration.
But that was only the beginning, as the devs are supporting both games with post-launch updates. Season 1 Reloaded is set to finally bring Ranked Play to Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer, but what does it have in store for Warzone?
Here’s everything we know about Warzone Season 1 Reloaded so far.
Warzone Season 1 Reloaded expected release date
Warzone Season 1 Reloaded is expected to arrive on Wednesday, January 17, 2023. This is based on a Classified Sector of the Season 1 Battle Pass that is due to unlock this date, possibly containing a new Operator or weapon.
However, there’s every chance the plans could change and the mid-season update could be delayed or moved forward. At the time of writing, the only official release information we have is that Season 1 Reloaded is scheduled for “early 2024.”
Warzone Season 1 Reloaded Covert Exfil
The Warzone Season 1 Reloaded update is set to bring the new Covert Exfil system, as confirmed by the roadmap shared in the Season 1 blog. Little has been revealed about the feature, other than it will be a “new secondary exfil condition.”
Based on this, players have speculated it could be a new way to win a match by leaving Urzikstan early. This would likely require squads to complete a series of steps or challenges to exfil from the game while other players are still alive, allowing them to skip the final showdown.
Alternatively, it could also be a way of escaping from the match without suffering a loss, potentially putting you in a stronger position for the next one.

It’s worth keeping in mind, however, that nothing has been announced so this is all just guesswork for now.
Weapon Cases in Warzone Season 1 Reloaded
It’s also been confirmed that Weapon Cases will arrive in Urzikstan with Warzone Season 1 Reloaded. These played a major role in DMZ mode, rewarding players with Blueprints and other rewards for successfully extracting with them.
While it hasn’t been revealed exactly how they will work in the battle royale compared to last year’s extraction mode, it’s possible they could be linked to the Covert Exfil feature.
Warzone Season 1 Reloaded brings new Champion’s Quest
The Championes Quest was one of the toughest but was rewarding challenges on Al Mazrah and it’s set to return in Warzone Season 1 Reloaded. Players will once again be able to earn a Nuke to secure an instant win, along with “fresh rewards for those brave and strategic enough to complete it.”
The key difference this time around is that squads will be able to “steal” the contract from another team, adding an extra layer of tension.
Previously, the Champions Quest could only be unlocked by winning five matches in a row and then completing a series of challenges to build the explosive and end the match. It hasn’t been revealed exactly how the new Champions Quest will work, but players can expect it to be one of the most daunting tasks in the game.
That was everything we know about Warzone Season 1 Reloaded so far. We’ll be sure to update this page with more details as soon as they’re announced.
