So, what is Modern Warfare 2 Mosh Pit in Modern Warfare 3? Here’s everything you need to know.
Modern Warfare 3: MW2 Mosh Pit explained
Modern Warfare 2 Mosh Pit is a new mode in MW3 that puts players into 6v6 matches exclusively on maps from MW2 (2022). However, there are only four of the most popular MW2 maps included so far:

- Farm 18
- Crown Raceway
- Mercado Las Almas
- Shoot House
Farm 18, Mercado Las Almas, and Crown Raceway were all launch maps in last year’s game, which went on to become some of the most popular in the entire game. Meanwhile, Shoot House was a MW (2019) map that arrived in Modern Warfare 2 post-launch, and fans will be happy to see return again in Modern Warfare 3.
There are also four classic modes included in the Modern Warfare 2 Mosh Pit playlist in MW3, one of which will be selected at random before each match. These are:
- Kill Confirmed
- Team Deathmatch
Modern Warfare 3’s game modes are expected to be rotated regularly, so MW2 Mosh Pit will likely come and go with each update. Only time will tell if the devs are planning to add more popular maps from last year’s game over the course of MW3’s lifecycle.
