Modern Warfare 3 guns are due to arrive in Warzone as part of the Season 1 update, but players can get ahead by leveling them up and unlocking attachments in multiplayer. Here are the best MW3 weapons you should level up before Warzone Urzikstan drops.
The Warzone Season 1 update arrives on December 6, kicking off a brand-new chapter for the CoD battle royale. Players can look forward to a host of movement and gameplay changes, along with the new Urzikstan map.
It also marks Modern Warfare 3’s integration into the game, meaning all 37 of the new guns will make their way over to completely shake up the meta. Luckily, you can make the transition easier by unlocking the meta attachments for the best MW3 guns in multiplayer ahead of time.
So, here are the best MW3 weapons to level up before Warzone Season 1.
Best MW3 weapons to level up for Warzone Season 1
The MCW is better known as the ACR.
The MCW has emerged as the best gun in Modern Warafre 3 since launch, and it’s likely to dominate Warzone too when it arrives. Better known as the classic ACR, this reliable Assault Rifle can hold its own at virtually any distance, and its easy-to-control recoil will make it a force to be reckoned with in Urzikstan’s mid to long-range fights.
While the MCW will have extra health to contend with thanks to the armor plates found in Warzone, with a larger magazine and the right attachments, don’t be surprised to see it become the go-to weapon in Season 1.
The BAS-B Battle Rifle is deadly at long range in Modern Warfare 3.
Following in the footsteps of Battle Rifles like the TAQ-V and Cronen Squall that have dominated Warzone in the past, The BAS-B is set to be the new king of the category. MW3 players flocked to the gun in multiplayer, as it packs all the punch of the Battle Rifle while handling more like an AR.
However, that’s not to say it’s a slouch at long range. The BAS-B is laser accurate with a lightning-fast TTK, both of which should see it thrive in the larger open spaces of Urzikstan.
Warzone isn’t all about long-range gunfights and that’s where MW3’s Rival-9 comes in. With a blistering TTK and high mobility that makes full use of the movement changes coming to the game, this deadly SMG is the perfect close-range option to level up ahead of Warzone Season 1.
While it may lack power over distance compared to some other entries on this list, the Rival-9 can act as a Sniper support or a partner to an Assault Rifle or LMG, ensuring you’re always prepared for any situation.
The KATT-AMR has all the makings of a top-tier Warzone Sniper.
Modern Warfare 3 is packed full of lethal Snipers, but the KATT-AMR is well worth leveling up in time for Warzone’s Urzikstan update. While the Longbow and KV Inhibitor have greater mobility, this .50 cal rifle has incredible damage that will lend itself to a battle royale.
The KATT-AMR’s incredible range and velocity mean it’ll likely be able to one-shot enemies with a well-placed headshot, a perfect way to make an enemy squad weaker in the blink of an eye. With a close-range SMG to partner it, this Sniper Rifle looks set to be a must-use in Warzone Season 1.
The Holger 556 is one of the best Assault Rifles in MW3.
Much like the MCW, the Holger 556 is another easy-to-use Assault Rifle in MW3 that’s the ideal starter weapon when it arrives in Warzone. Despite its nerf in the November 21 update, it still makes for a nice alternative if you don’t sacrifice a little mobility in favor of greater damage.
Its recoil is virtually non-existent, and leveling it up to earn some better attachments can make up for any shortcomings. If you’re looking for an accessible AR to run on day one that can dominate mid to long-range fights, look no further than the Holger 556.
The Bruen Mk9 hasn’t made much of an impression in MW3 so far, but it could still be a hidden gem when Warzone Season 1 comes around. This heavy LMG dominated the meta in the original Warzone and with its large magazines and high damage output, it’s primed to do the same again.
One of the main drawbacks with Assault Rifles and Battle Rifles is the constant need to reload between kills, but with the Bruen Mk9, you can lay waste to entire squads before swapping mags. With the right combination of attachments to curb some of the recoil, this is an underrated option you shouldn’t sleep on.
Warzone players will need a secondary and the Renetti is a perfect option.
While most Warzone players will run Overkill, running a secondary weapon instead can free you up to pick a different Vest with greater benefits. With this in mind, all Warzone players should level up the Renetti ahead of the launch of the Urzikstan map.
Not only is the burst Pistol one of the strongest secondaries in MW3, but players can also use Akimbo by hitting Level 21 with the weapon or completing the Armory Unlock challenge. With this attachment, you can double your damage output by wielding a Renetti in each hand, allowing them to rival meta weapons at close range.
