Modern Warfare 3 Ranked Play arrives in the Season 1 Reloaded update, featuring a limited mix of playlists in line with the CDL. With this in mind, here are all the different maps and game modes in MW3 Ranked Play.
Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Reloaded is set to be a stacked update for multiplayer fans, bringing The Boys LTM and two new guns. But the biggest addition is Ranked Play, which returns after a successful run in 2022’s Modern Warfare 2.
Just like the previous version, MW3 Ranked Play tasks players with climbing through the Ranks and Skill Divisions to prove their mettle and earn unique rewards. It mimics the same rules and restrictions as the CDL, while using the same limited pool of maps and modes.
Here’s a breakdown of all the game modes and maps in Modern Warfare 3 Ranked Play.
All MW3 Ranked Play game modes & maps
Modern Warfare 3 Ranked Play will feature three different game modes and six maps, just like the CDL. However, in order to make the experience as smooth as possible, not all maps support each game mode.
For the time being, the competitive mode focuses solely on the classic maps that were available in Modern Warfare 3 at launch, meaning that new arrivals like Greece or Season 1 Reloaded’s Rio aren’t in the mix.

- Sub Base
Search and Destroy
Maps like Invasion and Karachi are available across all three modes, while it’s been decided that Sub Base is better suited to Hardpoint and nothing else. However, the CDL website mentions that “maps and modes may change at a later date,” so don’t be surprised by more maps and new combinations later down the line.
