Call of Duty could be preparing to bring exciting crossovers to Modern Warfare 3 as a leak revealed characters from The Walking Dead may arrive as Operators.
Modern Warfare 3 players have plenty of weapons to unlock with the new Armory Unlock system. The grind doesn’t stop there in MW3 as new Mastery camos also made their way to MW3.
While a whole new set of weapons have emerged, the Carry Forward feature also brought plenty of MW2 content to the sequel. Weapons like the popular TAQ-56 are still available in Modern Warfare 3, alongside the catalog of high-profile crossover Operators that debuted in MW2.
Collaborative Call of Duty Operators like Alucard, Skeletor, and Ash Williams all made their way to Modern Warfare 3. MW2 featured plenty of crossover Operators, and it seems like Modern Warfare 3 is set to receive some as well.
Leaks from HeyImAlaix revealed that data miners have found references to a potential The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live collaboration.
The Ones Who Live is a new The Walking Dead spinoff series starring classic characters Rick Grimes and Michonne, and it’s set to premiere on February 25, 2024. Given that Rick Grimes and Michonne are starring as the lead characters in the series, it’s no surprise that leaks suggested they might receive Operators in Modern Warfare 3.
The original The Walking Dead series premiered in 2010 and has since garnered a massive fan base. Players in the comments were pleased to hear of the potential crossover with content creator FaZe Scope saying: “F*ck. Activision might get me with this one.”
Given that Modern Warfare 3 is the first game in the MW series to feature a Zombies mode, a The Walking Dead collaboration would be a great fit.
While Michonne and Rick were mentioned in leaks, this didn’t stop players from dreaming up the inclusion of another fan-favorite character: “Negan operator skin with Lucille bat melee would go crazy.”
