Modern Warfare 3 Zombies completely revamps the popular mode, and players can slay hoards of undead in both first and third-person. Here’s how to play MW3 Zombies in third-person.
Modern Warfare 3 brings the popular Zombies mode to the MW series for the first time, along with a lot of significant changes. While the usual Perks and special weapons make a return, MWZ matches play out much differently compared to past iterations of the mode.
Instead of the usual wave-based format, this version is an open-world experience set on the Urzikstan map. This means you’ll need to defend yourself from all angles, so switching to third-person mode will help you spot any enemies attacking from behind.
Here’s how to switch to third-person in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies.
How to change to third-person in MW3 Zombies
Modern Warfare 3 Zombies players can switch to third-person by holding down on the D-pad at any time in a match. This will instantly pull the camera back to give you a greater view of your surroundings, including any zombies attacking you from the rear.
There is currently no word on how to switch to third-person on PC, but we’ll be sure to update this page as soon as we know.
The main downside to third-person in MW3 Zombies is that you’re not able to use the sights on most of your weapons while in this perspective. Instead, you’ll have to rely on the onscreen markers to line up each shot.
That being said, changing to third-person in MW3 Zombies doesn’t lock you in for the rest of the game. You can freely switch between the two at any time, so you have the option to travel around in third-person, before switching back to first once bullets start to fly.
All in all, this feature gives players more freedom to experience Modern Warfare 3 Zombies from whichever perspective they prefer and will be a welcome addition for anyone who enjoyed the MW2 third-person modes.
