Modern Warfare 3 introduced the Armory Unlock system, which allows players to unlock weapons, Perks, Field Upgrades, and more by completing Daily Challenges. Several players are struggling to complete challenges, but a simple trick will make getting the job done a breeze.
Modern Warfare 3 arrived with plenty of weapons, Perks, Equipment, and so much more to unlock. As players fly up the Ranks from Level 1 to Level 55, they’ll unlock new items along the way. However, Modern Warfare 3 also introduced the new Armory Unlock system.
So far, the Armory Unlock system has been viewed as a controversial addition, with players split on its functionality. The new system allows players to unlock items of their choice, but they must complete Daily Challenges and win matches to progress toward unlocks.
While some have praised the system’s ability to force players to play the objective and push for wins, others feel like the system is too confusing to grasp. Much of the confusion stems from Daily Challenges tasking players with objectives that require certain items they haven’t unlocked yet, seemingly stunting their progress.
However, some players have found a brilliantly simple workaround for this particular issue.
The Reddit post above from the MW3 subreddit explains that: “Default Classes can be used for Equipment/Weapons you don’t own when completing Daily Challenges.”
This solution may seem obvious to some, but it’s certainly easy to overlook when attempting to grasp all of the new features. The OP provided a great example: “I equipped one of the Default Classes that allowed me to use Flashbangs and was able to complete the Flashbang Daily Challenge without having them unlocked through the Armory System.”
They weren’t the only player to figure out such a simple but effective tip to complete Daily Challenges: “Had to do this when a challenge was respawn with tac insert 3 times. Super useful.”
Given how many players are trying to complete the frustrating Daily Challenges, thinking they don’t have access to the proper tools, one player even suggested that the “mods should probably just pin this.”
If you’re diving into MW3 and looking to complete the grind of unlocking every item through the Armory Unlocks system, hopefully this tip will make the process easier.
