Despite MW3 receiving several gameplay improvements from its predecessor, which players have welcomed, many are calling for changes to the game’s Killstreaks stating that they are “useless.”
Modern Warfare 3 is in full swing with players enjoying the release of Season 1 which brought a ton of content. This major update introduced a full roster of Aftermarket Parts, a new Zombies Wonder Weapon, and brand-new multiplayer modes.
Despite the major improvements carried out by SHG within MW3’s multiplayer mode, many players noticed that the Killstreaks aren’t as powerful as they should be, calling for massive changes to allow them to be useful.
In a Reddit post, user ‘cbb0722’ expressed, “Most streaks are useless,” and then explained: “Something needs to be done about streaks being shot down almost instantly. I was playing meat 24/7 for a long while… every time my self or a teammate called in a air streak… it was shot down in a matter of seconds.”

Additionally, the OP stated: “8 kill 10 kill and 12 kill streaks should not be getting one to two kills before being shot down.” However, another user remarked, “Anytime I hear enemy scorestreak. I swap to my anti air class and shot that s**t down. Soo yea I agree they are useless lol.”
Also, players called out MW3 Season 1’s new Launcher, the Stormender, which makes the situation worse by making certain Killstreaks get “shot down in seconds.”
However, within the replies, other players suggested “using some of the ground streaks,” which allows you to avoid players shooting down the Killstreaks that are in the sky, which are usually easy targets.
Although another player pointed out that “streaks used to be scary,” most expect SHG to make changes to give Killstreaks greater resistance against enemies. The dev team have yet to announce anything as of now, but game updates usually include improvements if they are considered necessary.
