Will MW2 2022 maps be available in MW3 multiplayer?
Activision have officially confirmed that MW2 2022 maps will be available in MW3’s multiplayer, further expanding the 6v6 map roster and allowing players to enjoy a wide variety of locations.
Additionally, the dev team shared the initial selection including fan-favorite Farm 18, Mercado Las Almas, and Shoot House, which will arrive in the game “shortly after launch in a dedicated playlist.”
As described in the blog post, the MW2 maps are confirmed to retain their original graphical appearance from MW2. However, due to the innovations and changes in movement and gameplay mechanics introduced by SHG, players may notice a substantial shift in the way these maps are experienced.
Fortunately, the inclusion of MW2 maps will not come at the expense of the new and remastered maps scheduled to be introduced over the course of Modern Warfare 3’s season.
This means that players will have a wide array of diverse locations to explore in the multiplayer mode. It’s important to note, that the new MW3 game modes like Cutthroat, won’t be available on the MW2 maps.
